Objectives

The Degree in Tourism aims to train professionals who are capable of adopting management responsibilities in hotels, travel agencies, transport services and other related public and private institutions. Students are given broad-based training in: tourism company management, promotional marketing, regional tourism resources, cultural heritage, foreign languages and the use of the appropriate ICTs for this sector, among other disciplines.

Competences

They should be able to: work in English as a foreign language; use ICTs in all areas of tourism; work in various social and cultural environments, with commitment for improvement and quality.

These graduates must understand the principles of tourism in spatial, social, cultural, legal, political, labour and economic terms. They must be capable of managing tourism organisations; identifying and managing tourist spaces and destinations; managing the appropriate tools and resources for efficient professional engagement, improving their knowledge and skills to contribute to the advancement of the industry.
