Descripción: There is conclusive evidence on the positive impact of active teaching and learning approaches on student engagement and academic success. These approaches are various and some are mutating with the pandemic experience.
The symposium "Joint FEBS/SPB/UMinho Symposium on Evidence Based Teaching in Your Biomolecular Classroom: Catalysing Student Engagement", taking place on November 17th and 18th, will showcase and discuss current scientific approaches to teaching. The event is organized by the Centre IDEA of the University of Minho, with support of the Portuguese Biochemical Society (SPB) and the Federation of the European Biochemical Societies (FEBS). The symposium will feature lectures on contemporary teaching and invited topic workshops. Participants can expect to hear about and discuss the implementation of innovative teaching approaches.
