Specific admission conditions

Entry profile

The Master's degree aims to improve territorial management through techniques that enable the generation and integration of geographic information. For this reason, the entry profile is aimed at students with this type of interest. Specifically, the ideal profile would be that of students with undergraduate degrees related to land management and analysis: Geography, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Geomatics Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Natural Environment Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agro-environmental Engineering, and related subjects.

It will be verified that all students have basic knowledge of Geographic Information Technologies using a detailed study of their academic records. For those students who do not have this basic knowledge, the possibility will be offered of taking a virtual course, specific to the UAH, which will include this knowledge.

Admission criteria
Students will be selected based on their academic profile and previous experience to follow the contents of the master's degree. The selection criteria will be as follows:

  • Academic record, valued between 1 and 4 points. It will count for 60% of the final score for access.

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written. First Certificate level or equivalent: 1; Advanced level or equivalent: 2. 20% of the final mark will count towards access.

  • Motivation. It will be verified with a survey and a letter written by each candidate. The academic committee will evaluate it and will count for 10% of the final score for access.

  • Professional career in these technologies, relevant publications, and other activities. The academic committee will assess this and it will count for 10% of the final score for access.

Subjects, academic staff, competences, teaching guides and final project regulations
