Equipamiento

Research laboratories in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the Department of Surgery, Medical and Social Sciences, University of Alcalá, which are equipped with the required instrumentation, materials and devices to perform the necessary experimental determinations.
Instruments: UV/visible spectrophotometers, HPLC with visible ultraviolet detection, centrifuges and ultracentrifuges, stoves, differential scanning calorimeter, thermostatic baths with constant stirring, cooling systems, optical microscope with polarized light and heating plate, particle size analyzer, infrared balance, dissolution devices I and II, homogenizers, micropeachmeter, laminar flow cabinet, precision balance, rotary vapor, vacuum pump, spectrofluorimeter, atomizer, compression machine, disaggregationapparatus, volumeometer, friabilometer, solid and liquid form equipment, climatic chamber, moisture analysis and filtration system, etc.

The research group also has access to:
- Radioactive unit.
- Animal facility.
- Cell culture units.
- Infrared.
External members have access to:
- Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).
- Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) combinedwith energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX)

Provides guidance, science and technology support to improve chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) preparedness and response,through:
- Protection of civilians and personnel from the strategic, tactical and physiological impacts of exposure to CBRN threats.
- Human and environmental CBRN(bio)monitoring.
- Investigation of potential medical countermeasures to biological and chemical hazards.
- Environmental decontamination and remediation
