  • Estudio comparado de la anatomía del oído en mamíferos actuales y fósiles, con especial atención a los homínidos, mediante procesado informático de imágenes radiológicas de Tomografía Axial Computarizada.
  • Estudio de la anatomía y fisiología del oído en la evolución humana, en relación con su historia evolutiva, su ecología y su sociobiología, con especial atención al origen y evolución del lenguaje.
  • Estudio de la patología del oído en especies humanas fósiles y su relación con las patologías auditivas de la humanidad actual.
  • Estudio de la relación entre la evolución de la anatomía y la fisiología del oído en especies de mamíferos actuales y fósiles, en relación con su historia evolutiva, su ecología y su sociobiología.
  • Reconstrucción de la transmisión de la potencia sonora en especies actuales y fósiles de mamíferos, con especial atención a los homínidos, a partir de datos obtenidos por tomografía axial computarizada y reconstrucción informática de las estructuras del oído externo y medio.
