Dr. Eva Senra Diaz (Madrid, 1967) holds a degree in Mathematical Sciences (1990) from the Complutense University of Madrid and a doctorate in Economics (1998) from the Carlos III University, Madrid. She is Senior Tenured Lecturer in Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business, in the Economics Department.
She is member of the research line into innovation, enterprise, responsibility and public and corporate policy assessment, and of the academic committee and the quality commission of the University of Alcalá’s doctoral programme in Economics and Business Management. She also sits on the academic committee of the master’s degree in Applied Economic Analysis, for which she lectures and is quality coordinator. From June 2018 to September 2019, she was director of the Publications Service.
Her research, for which she has been awarded two research assessments, is related to economic forecasting, statistics and applied economics in academic and business environments. Her articles have been published in specialist international journals and she has supervised four doctoral theses.
In the business environment, for ten years she was in charge of forecasting and coordinated the Inflation and Macroeconomic Analysis Bulletin of the Flores de Lemus Institute’s Forecasting Laboratory at the Carlos III University. From 2006 to 2011 she was advisory member responsible for scenario analysis and then General Sub-Director of the Government’s Economic Office.
At present, she collaborates with the COTEC Trust for innovation—part of “The COTEC 100” network—to which she contributes her expertise in statistics and economic forecasting. She is also member of the EURITO Project, funded by the H2020 scheme.
