Aproximaciones de Espectroscopia Vibracional (espectroscopia Raman e Infrarroja con Transformada de Fourier) para la investigación de residuos de explosivos (incluidos residuos de disparo, GSR) y precursores de explosivos, residuos de combustión, jabón balístico, simulante de músculo, fluidos biológicos, tóxicos de uso lícito e ilícito, datación de documentos y composición de tintas, huesos, y otras muestras de veterinaria forense contaminación de sedimentos y suelos por metales pesados, descontaminación por ozono de residuos aromáticos y otros tóxicos, inmovilización de enzimas y nanopartículas de metales en matrices poliméricas para empaquetamiento de altas prestaciones y productos y desarrollos farmacéuticos.

Estudio de la emisión Biofotónica humana mediante espectrómetro de emisión de fotones ultra-débil (UPE) de sobremesa modular.

Además, el grupo participa en proyectos de evaluación e intervención educativa para la prevención de consumo de drogas y violencia sexual en contextos de ocio juvenil.

Aproximaciones de espectrometría de masas atómica y molecular para el análisis de tóxicos y explosivos.

Estrategias de análisis multivariante, minería de datos e inteligencia artificial para la identificación de sustancias y objetos, así como la interpretación de datos de interés químico y forense.

Técnicas cromatográficas (HPLC, Cromatografía iónica, Cromatografía en Capa Fina de Alta Eficacia y Cromatografía de Gases) y electroforéticas para el análisis de explosivos y otras muestras de interés criminalístico (p.ej., residuos de explosivo, tóxicos, drogas y documentos).

Técnicas de microscopía e imagen para la investigación de muestras de interés químico y forense (explosivos, GSR, fluidos biológicos, inmovilización de enzimas y nanopartículas de metales en nanocompuestos poliméricos).
